I would put Thompson at about 40-45 percent. Clemson lean is my guess.

From what I have heard from some of the other sites, LSU is going to get a commit from Liuget. From stories I have heard Deandre Brown will be very close to qualifying. Add Benton when he is cleared that gives us 3 more scollys filled. You would have to figure if Barron wants to commit ,he is in.Do we take 5 more? If so that leaves us with one more commit. I say we get Hall. That is just what I see maybe happening. I know we were hoping for maybe TJ Bryant . We may get him instead of Hall.

So it looks like we're going to go 2 years in a row without signing a single running back. Anyone else think this could be a problem down the road?

Well we did get Ridley last year, who is supposed to assume the role of Jacob Hester, getting those tough yards in critical situations.

I personally would like to see us get either Hall or Thomas, as they fill the need of a multi-dimensional back who can kill you out in space, both running and receiving (and maybe even the return game as well).

I think we want to sign one, but will they commit to LSU?

Id really like Hall but Im not concerned if we dont get a back this year. The only way it would be an issue is if both Williams and Scott leave after next year. Which is highly unlikely. Other than that LSU is set at tail back.

As for the multi-dimensional back we have Murphey to fill that role. Also, both Williams and Scott both have solid hands coming out of the back field.

With all the top backs in state next year there is absolutely no need to worry if we dont get a back this year. Id much rather get Bryant and some strong DT/DE players.

You guys may have already covered this but if someone can answer for me, say for some reason
Lavar Edwards , Brandon Thompson , Corey Liuget,
all want to commit. We wouldn't take all of them would we? Would we take whoever committed first? Between the three who do yall think would fit in with LSU the best? thanks!

I think Miles will take 2 if one is a DE and the other is a DT.

Not sure which DT he would choose. Maybe the 1st one to commit.

Also have to take in account the #1 JUCO DE. I still think we would take two DTs since Simi will only get one year of serious playing time.

Couldn't Simi take a red shirt year if he commited or is that unlikely to happen with JUCO players? I can't see any point in signing him if he can't or won't redshirt. We don't need him for this coming season, but he could fill a role for the net two years after that. I wonder how often the top rated JUCO players have made a major impact in NCAA div I football. Byrd has been good for us this past season. Tried to look it up on Rivals but they don't list past years JUCO rankings.

No redshirts for JUCOs and he could have a great year his senior year when we will be in a small transition with Tyson, Alexander, and Pittman going to the NFL.

LSU DE Wroten was a JUCO and it is not that uncommon for JUCO to produce NFL quality Dlineman.
