what does the Louisiana crop of DL look like next year?! b/c by getting the Juco guy, you lose a guy of the future, but that isn't a problem if they have someone who could come in during the 09 class.
LSU is in great shape with two of the top DT's in the country for next year (although one is a Bama commit currently). I don't know about DE's, but the JUCO guy would be a senior when they get on campus so I don't see that being a real issue.
We only get to 29 if one of those is Pryor or Scott, IMO. Brandon Thompson appears to be the only other DLine we'd take if we already have a DE committed, whether that's Liuget, Edwards, or Kuli.
what I meant by "guy of the future" is getting the other kid this year, who'd have 3-4 more seasons to go. Get my drift?! :thumb:
Well, Jerico is definitely out. 2% for Scott may be a bit high. Why only 10% for Thomas - I'd say more like 30%. Hall & Dean - 20%, but it's tough to get a read on these two guys. The only question about Benton & Brown is whether they qualify. Ben Jones is out, but 50% chance we get one of the other guys. I originally thought 95% Edwards, but he didn't pull the trigger on his official so one of the other guys may take his spot. Depends on non-qualifiers. Several recruits have a ways to go.
CParso, tough to read any of those 3 RBs. I think Thomas is a strong verbal now to FSU. PT is important to him and he fears how far down the depth chart he will be at LSU, and rightfully so. He's pretty much a FSU lock. We still got a small window of opportunity and obviously could widen if the visit this weekend to LSU goes extremely well. Hall is questioning the depth chart at WR, as he sees himself at that position. We would want to use him just like Thomas, out in space (a Reggie Bush type player). Hall is more negative about the depth chart at WR than Thomas appears to be about our RB situation.
I guess we can move Thompson up to 50%. He will announce late next week. http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/s...cruit/entries/2008/01/23/roark_commits_t.html
