It's still up in the air about the offense. News from camp is that the O-line is coming together nicely, and that the two new projected starters (by the media, not the coaches), look the part physically, and mentally. You can't create experience though, so it'll remain to be seen how they'll preform.
The rest of the offense will be better this year than last at every position.

Theres a very good chance that this offense will be better than last years. After all we had a 1st year starting QB and went to the Natty. Comparing offenses I would be more concerned about LSU's being better. Your QB is a 4 yr player and LSU was 9th in offensive eficiency last year. Also you D was 2nd behind AU's.

There's also a very good chance it won't be "better".

As for our offense, our players were handcuffed by an inept OC. We have no doubt it WILL be better.

We may hafta start charging for all we're teaching these hens.

    103627. LSU thoughts

This is going to be a high scoring game on both sides of the ball and Oregon is going to have a hard time stopping the run. We will man handle LSU's line. Mark that down with an emphasis. Our O-Line is bigger and stronger. The one advantage they have is their O-line size compared to our D-Line. We won't run around LSU, but we can run through them.

    Phucking loons I tell ya!!!

I wish this quote could find itself hanging in the lsu lockerroom. I think the boys would have a want to prove them wrong.

Having a few good years in the Pac 4 really inspires bravado!! Oregon was a pretty good team last year and clearly could beat us Sept 4. But they depend so much on the novelty of their pace giving them an edge. I guess their fans think that no one will ever come up with an answer and Chip will go down as a revolutionary.

You are mostly right, not sure about the Chip thing. But Oregon does try and run a fast paced offense. The faster the better, thats why they rotate so many defensive players during the game. It was funny last year watching several teams fake injuries to stop the clock so they could rest. Oregon generaly scores quick which means the defense is on the field a lot. When Oregon can't get into their rythum they do struggle some. I expect a low scoring game since it's the 1st game of the season for both teams and LSU has a good defense. Can't see either team getting 30pts. JMO but I can't see LSU winning unless JJ has a good game, not saying the Ducks will have it easy either.

Also, I'm not sure where some of their fans are getting their info from (Re: our line is small and slow and how they are bigger than us on both sides of the ball).

    Tale of the Tape:

    LSU starters along the OLine:

    Ave. 308.6 lbs.

    Oregon starters along the OLine:

    Ave. 295.4 lbs

    LSU starters along the DLine:

    Ave. 273.5 lbs

    Oregon starters along the DLine:

    Ave. 268.75 lbs
