great coaching by the smokester this weekend. Getting tossed yesterday fired up the team. I did notice again today at the game (i have season tix) that he was into the game bigtime. He came out of the dugout a few times to have a word w/ a batter or runner...hats off to smoke and the gang

Good job by the Tigers this weekend. Hopefully they can put a good stretch together in the upcoming weeks to come. Never a better time to start getting hot.LSU! :tigbas:

And for good reason. That stuff goes on the Smack or Rountable board.

G-Mann, why do you think Ole Piss is a mediocre team, I thought they had a lot of talent.

After 3 series losses, a sweep by SC and a Friday loss to Ole Miss, the board was burning up with 4 page threads about how bad a coach Smoke is. After 2 big wins against a tough Ole Miss team, we get a one page thread. One even referred to the 20th ranked Ole Miss team as "mediocre". Conclusion: Most posters thrive on negativism. When things go well they are not interested enough to post. Just my observation.

Congrats on the series win. Auburn dropped one on the road to the runts of the SEC (UK), but still came away with the series win and tied for second in the West. West is still up for grabs with all teams within two games of each other.

    Good luck next weekend!

No team in the West is mediocre. They are all good teams with no great ones that stand out above the crowd. The tough competition (hopefully) will make all the teams better tested for tourney play. These are important games, but they are really just the preliminary to the postseason.

Good luck to all the West in the coming weeks (except Bama).

I agree 1990 but I think we will have to wait until the Super Regionals are over to know how these teams stand on the national scene.

Definitely. Auburn has held their own against teams like Ga Tech (1-1), FSU (1-2), and Clemson (2-1), but it will be interesting to see how all the SEC teams stack up in elimination games.

Anyone planning on traveling to B'ham for the SEC tourney (I am assuming that LSU will make it)?
