True. But I thought UF would throw them a beatin' last year and they almost lost. Teabag will be a little nicked up after starting a full SEC schedule, so he might be off a step. If Auburn can beat UF this year, anything is possible.
LSU is not really a blitzing defense. We blitz on occassion, but it's not what defines our defense. Our defense uses our DLine to get enough pressure to allow our LBs to roam & our CB's to lock down on the receivers. We're physical & we create turnovers. Florida's offense beats people with speed & finding mismatches. LSU has the speed, talent, and depth to match up with anything that Florida puts out there. All we have to do is play sound football with good technique & open field tackling, which we'll have down. I'm very confident in LSU's ability to hold UF's offense in check. UF's defensive secondary is young & the line is not very physical. Our OLine will get the kinks worked out this week to give Flynn enough time & open holes for our RBs. Get used to seeing Hester up the middle for 5. Florida's young defense makes me wonder about "trick plays" and whether they would be disciplined enough to stay in position or if they will over-persue. This could be a good time for a play with Trindon. Our offense will not dominate. We'll be efficient & wear Florida's defense down with ball control, pulling away in the second half.
Let's see now..............GALEN HALL..............Didn't HE get kicked off your team......the coach? I seem to remember this..... Oh, and today's paper says Mr. Joiner is the "eighth" Florida player in the "last nine months" to get in legal trouble....Ya'll trying to catch up with Miami or something?
It doesn't seem very smart to compare last year to this year. Matt Flynn wasn't the QB then, JR was not to mention other positions. This team is much better than last years and we will prove it, matter of fact I predict this team will be better than our 2003 team. Thats kinda what has gone wrong with the Gators season. This years team was compared to last years. You mean like Marcus Thomas was conveniently allowed to play against us last year before being kicked off the team? The thing I find interesting about your posts in this thread is the attitude. I don't get it, You guys won a championship in football and basketball last year and yet you have an axe to grind or on edge. Seems very suspicious to me but anyway I hope you have the courage to come back here after you lose Saturday. Oh Yeah, unless Florida plays better than they do against Auburn and Ole Miss, they will at least lose one more game, Georgia. Its going to be a rough road ahead for the Gators so I hope they really enjoyed last year. One more thing, I said in predictions thread that this game could geaux many ways, we could lose but I honestly don't see it happening to this team. We've had the Gators circled after last years game and once again after they won the NC. But I can see us winning this game by 3 points or 30 points. Anythings possible depending on how both teams perform.
I didnt give aub a prayer of beating the gaytors and I doubt anybody else did. I thought the betting line was about right and really expected it to be worse. I underestimated the Aub defense which basically won them the game. I have the same feelings about this game. I dont think Florida can hang with us but Im going to be a lot more cautious with my optimism this week. I would like to see a 21 point win but I think it wil be much closer.
Tebow is a great QB , from a offense from the past . Johnny Majors used it at Tennessee , Tebow is a big target and a strong young man. This LSU team can name the score if they want to, and hold the score to that if they want to .This team is that good . And the great part of it is you may never know not even one of the players name . That makes this team , the best LSU team I have ever seen ! LSU 48 The Gators 0 That is what the Tailgate News says and I will quote them , I like that score myself !!
Tebow isn't going to pick LSU defense apart with screens and crossing routes.. wow this guys played to much Nintendo...
I love the Gators to death. I just hope the game isn't over with at halftime witch is a definate possibility. Our defense is so young. We start 9 underclassmen on defense. So if you're gonna pound the Gators you better pound them while you can. Hopefully it's an injury free game and the score is a lot closer than what I think it will be.
UF will go 7-6 this year losing to Auburn, LSU, Kentucky, South Carolina, FSU, and UGA. Don't "Zook" now, but Illinois is 4-1.:hihi:
Just thought this was funny, Gator eyes are watching: http://www.gatorsportsforum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=196034
