Thanks. I knew about Rivals but didn't think to check them. Big difference on ratings. Arthur Brown 16 TJ Bryant 23 Chancey Aghayere 38 Chase Clement 43 DeAndre Brown 46 Tolliver 62
I am worried about their pass rush because they are a quick DL. With Flynn hobbled they will come after him and I believe it is possible that Flynn will be tentative in the pocket and make some bad passes as we have seen lately. Trust UF has seen Flynn's behavior in the pocket and know he is not the same QB. They will try to exploit this. This is why it is a must that our OL performs like they did in the VTech game and give Flynn good protection but I think it is even more important that the running game gets going from the start. If we run right at them, I think we can have some success. I think Hester will be very successful up the middle. If we start spreading the running game east and west the DL's will sniff this out and string it out till the LB can help. We have to run at them and by the 4th we should be able to run at will. I don't like the QB option plays against this defense. They are fast and can string it out very well. I'm confident Crowton is planning for this fast DL. I hope he doesn't get to fancy with the spread option and gets the running game going. I can also see a middle screen as being successful.
While I dont think Florida is the team they were last year, I think its laughable to say LSU is going to win this game by 3 TDs. Both teams played awful in the first half of their games last week. They both pretty much dominated the second half defensively. The difference is that we were playing Auburn and LSU was playing Tulane. Whoever said that LSU will rush for 300 yards is an idiot. Fullback dives and end arounds to your midget sprinter are not going to amount to that dude....sorry. If there is one thing this defense does well, its stop the run. The key to us winning the game is our pass rush. Matt Flynn is an average QB at best but he can be decent when he gets time in the pocket. Our young secondary cant stick LSU's WRs all night. If we pressure Flynn, he WILL make bad throws and turn the ball over. LSU is a blitzing defense and I fully expect Mullen to exploit that with screens and crossing routes. We have the fastest WRs in the nation and this offense is designed for YAC. Thats what Auburn did so well, they allowed basically 0 yards after the catch. I dont care how good you think your defense is, when you blitz 7 and 8 guys....its very prone to give up big plays. Tebow is cant do it all himself and think Caldwell coming back will be huge for our offense. I look for Harvin to have a HUGE game.
Fair enough, but I warn you---you'll definitely know the name of our "midget sprinter" by the end of the game...and you *absolutely* will know the name of the QB who you failed to mention. I won't spoil the surprise by telling you now. You'll just have to watch...and learn.
I learned your QBs name last year.....when he got arrested and kicked off your team. As for the midget sprinter, Trindon Holliday. We have our own midget sprinter.... Brandon James o:
LOL, what is this... Who has the biggest midget? LSU will not only win this game, they will win it by a margin that will further separate themselves from the wannabes in the National title chase. If, by chance, LSU gets some early breaks (fumble, interception) it could get downright ugly.
Midget is considered offensive (Florida will probably find our "undersized" speedster offensive as well.) RP was arrested for using his brother's ID to enter a casino. I know it's not like a bar fight or stealing a car from an impounding lot or hitting a frat boy over the head with a beer keg (Taurean Charles from a couple of years ago), but he did his time in Coach Miles' doghouse, now he's contributing to the team. I'm not confident about the game, but when I mentioned it to a coach at the school where I teach this morning, he said, "Are you kidding? LSU is ready to roll on Saturday." This coach's dad was on staff with Eddie Robinson for 30 years; he knows his football. As does my dad, who coached for over 30 years. He's confident, too. If those guys are confident, then maybe I should be, too. I didn't enjoy our ride to the '03 NC; I was always so worried. Perhaps I should just have a little more fun.
We've never had a QB kicked off the team, else he wouldn't be here. And our midget is faster than your midget.
