I have no doubt that it will be picked up by whoever gets first pick. I can see it now, the 2 programs in the top 10, biggest OCC game of the year, and the VT Massacre and Katrina memorials that go along will generate huge ratings. Actually this could be the 1st game with no mention of Katrina but I doubt that.
It would be in the best interest of any networks pocketbook to have this game. I wouldn't doubt it if Gameday is on the parade grounds. Highly doubt that.
I think the question is what network has this game. Either CBS or ESPN. CBS has picked up a couple big OOC SEC games in the past (USC-Auburn) and i think it should be a lock to have gameday there. I mean a top ten clash in the 2nd week of the season...in Death Valley. Oh wait does USC have a game that week too? then...nevermind about any other games...we all wanna to see SC play anyways...
I remember on ESPN Radio they were talking about how Duke is always on TV....sure some will watch to see them win....but most watch to see them LOSE. Kinda the same with USC. Masses of people watch even though they hate the school.
oh boy, another brainwashed sheep lose on the prairie. listen up, i'm an 8 year air force veteran so yea i'm one of those people. you get no greater enlightenment about the true ways of our corrupt govt than by being a part of it my friend. i'm a patriot who is sick of the way this country has been dumbed down and is being stripped of personal rights daily, while you worship football players. the military serving in iraq is not defending this country in any way shape or form. you wanna see what the real deal is over there??? http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article13440.htm
And it is their choice to be over there how? They have no choice. When the President says go, they have to go. And regardless of that, how does the fact that you disagree with the mission make the individual soldiers less worthy of honor and respect? And another thing, you were in the Air Force. Unless you were a PJ or a pilot, you were probably sitting your ass in an air conditioned airbase somewhere. Save the "jaded veteran" routine for the vets who have actually been shot at by the enemy. I don't mean disrespect for anyone who served in the Air Force by that because my brother was a Capt in the Air Force, but he would say the exact same thing. I hope Salty doesn't see this thread...
do you know how many soldiers have made conscientous declinations to avoid fighting in this illegal war? yes they have a choice fool! and if more of them decided to use it then the bush administration wouldn't have a leg to stand on. too many cowards in this country. it doesn't matter if i've been shot at or not. did you even bother to look at the link i provided? and why do the soldiers deserve honor and respect for? being willful tools in a criminal endeavor? LMAO!
