On the plus side, lots of room to improve. Not a terrible loss. Need better ball handling and decision making. Much better. WW is going to earn that check this year.

well, to be fair, key players bishop and watford and manning have never played in an away game, whilst their team was largely old tournament veterans

They covered the spread and shudda won ...

Looks like last year repeating itself ...

Gonna be a really good squad capable of averaging 80+ points ... Mark it!

VCU's Siegel Center is one of the toughest venues in college basketball:
"This is fourth year of college and this is No. 1,” LSU guard Skylar Mays said. “It's the toughest environment I've ever played in."

I didn’t know this happened. Actually, pretty funny.

Dudes gonna take some heat this season. I know most on this thread are big WW supporters. I’m still suspect and haven’t heard any good explanations, or anything to suggest he’s clean, even though he’s “cleared” and has returned to the sideline. I support LSU morally and financially. If WW can prove he can win within the rules, then I’ll support him, too, but he’s got a lot to prove for me.

The FBI clowns at VCU were pretty funny, I expect we’ll see that all year.

As for what he did or didn’t do, however he is recruiting now didn’t start at LSU or with WW, and isn’t exclusive to LSU or WW. I’m with Woodward - I support WW until LSU can’t (and I’ll still have a soft spot regardless).

I prefer the new mentality; we aren’t going to hold ourselves to a higher standard than our colleagues. We can’t be the bastion of truth and compete. Especially not in a state that is 50th in everything and isn’t the bastion for anything except maybe awesome culture.

I’d hope we don’t go full dirty like AU, there should be a balance.

from a tweet in the artcile

"About 10 VCU fans came to the LSU-VCU basketball game dressed as FBI agents to troll Will Wade, who is under investigation by the FBI for illegal recruiting. "

none of that is true. FBI is the government, they dont manage sports rules. and also that investigation is over, and wasnt about wade but sports agents and shoe companies

    maybe. maybe not.

last year a very young LSU team lost at houston just like this, very early in a supercharged arena. they also won the SEC title and never lost an SEC road game.
