sad thing about this game is how bad Vincent played

    7 rushes for only 19 yards:dis:

good thing is that alley had 9 rushes for 45 yards :) :thumb:

and scott had 4 rushes for 38 yards(this is what i found on yahoo) :) :thumb:

I just saw on the espn box score, charles scott had 5 carries for 41 yds, 8 yard average. Sounds good for that young man.

Man, you sure are one heckuva optimist, all those A's & A+'s, especially when Coach said after the game that LSU had a good bit of work to do. Guess it's the thrill of a big opening season win, something not seen in a few years around LSU.

Overall, it was nothing more than a decent scrimmage for LSU I thought. The front seven gave up a bit too much rushing yardage up the middle and when ULL ran right. They were playing a decent ULL OL, but this was ULL, not Auburn. If you watched the Auburn game or caught the highlights, you saw Irons bust two huge runs over that right side against WSU. AU runs right & middle over the most experienced part of their line. AU didn't run or have much success over the left side until the WSU defense was winded in the 4th Quarter. Coach is right. Lotsa work between now and the Auburn game. Scrimmage # 2 next week with Arizona. I'd like to see LSU shut down those big runs and minimize that yardage gained over the right side and middle against Arizona. Jackson & Sanders have to step up their play a notch or two. Another scrimmage and several practices before AU should shore up this minor weakness. The coach seems confident about that anyway.

    My score
    Offense is a B (Rushing game C, Passing A)
    Defense is a B (Rushing defense C, Passing A)
