Tough series for us. We need to come back, win a SEC series or two, and make a regional.

Thanks scrappy.... but surely you don't think all Tiger fans are like this... Sure I want my Tigers to do well in everything... but it's not a reality. Reputation is a team killer...

This is unacceptable....we didnt build up this program to see it be torn down. This is LSU the best baseball program in america and we just got swept by SC. 3 series in a row. This is unacceptable. Smoke has to go. No doubt about it. Were going to mediocracy. Sad.

It doesn't mean a hill of beans whether we, as mere fans, "accept" it or not. We had this same discussion during basketball season. What fans should learn to do is to "deal" with adversity. Let the powers that be be concerned with fixing whatever may be wrong. Believe me, they want to win as badly as Joe Fan. If a fan cannot "accept" what is going on with a sports team, then they have other issues to be concerned about. I'd like to see more discussion about what can be done to turn this thing around, and less crybaby posts complaining about a losing streak.

Exactly what I'm talking about. Who the hell are you? What did you build? Who cares if you find it unacceptable. You're nobody! :dis:
    And...It's mediocrity.

Thats the point I always try to make. You were just a fan when a team was doing well. Now you feel something is owed to you b/c they are losing. They are just kids playing a game. It seems fans like you Joe take everything that has to do with LsU personal. Like its your whole livlihood. Its just a game man. They dont owe you anything. You sure as hell didnt build this program up. haha

What LSU should do to turn it around:

    1. Fire Smoke Laval and retain Turtle but stick Wiederholt in the office
    2. Hire Jim Morris from Miami (Skip has Miami connections), Ray Tanner (a great friend of Skips), Mike Bianco from Ole Miss (a Bertman understudy doing a good job with less talent).
    3. Instead of picking up players that are big and dumb on base, pick up JC Holt players, slap hitters, who arent as much power as speed and control.
    4. Hire a new pitching coach, and offer 2 full scholarships to 2 aces rather than splitting and offering halfs.
    5. Not change the f cking line up EVERY GAME, find what works and stick with it, check my prior posts for a batting order and fielding assignment.
    6. Stop taking so many JUCo players, and grab some of the big time HS kids... seems like Skip always got one or two big time highschool players.

    7. Win with what you have. LSU is supposed to get the best talent out there. They are LSU, they should be able to win with what they have. This goes back to those history buffs who love to say that LSU will turn it around b.c they always do historically.
