LSU has runners at 2nd and 3rd with no one out. It's the 2 fastest runners on our team on base. Looks very promising to tie this game up.
Damn...impressive pitching there to get out of that jam. UCLA has played better, they are deserving victors if they hold on.
The next 2 batters strike out and the 3rd one grounds out weakly. That probably was our one and only chance to score on this pitcher. The umpire decided to widen the strike zone at this crucial stage of the game. That's always too bad when the umpiring has an effect on the game in this manner.
UCLA 2-0 Last of the 7th.....first batter for LSU walks. Good start to the inning. Delayhoussaye hits a ball home run distance but foul.
One thing I noticed that I had not really seen before is that they rarely replace the ball. That thing has been scuffed off the dirt all day, dinged off the concrete walls, dinged off metal, and fouled all over the place...and they keep tossing it back in play. Check it out in the ptichers glove...it looks like it has been run over by an 18 wheeler.
softball game I am pulling for LSU to win. My granddaughter loves to play softball. I hope one day she play for Bama. Go tigers
