Used to be football was a TEAM sport. Now it is moving toward 11 guys looking out for themselves. Just don’t buy the “looking out for himself” line. He is, or was, part of a team.

 

Hell why even play in the CFP if you are a top 10 pick? Why risk the top 10 signing bonus money for an amateur reward? Seems plain stupid to me. Once a player has secured his position, as predicted by Mel Kiper, he should just hang em up.

This is the way it is these days. Millennials.

 

don't disagree but there isn't a staff or team that should be more motivated going into a bowl game

If it was me I would play but then I don't have that decision I make. As far as ruining my health for the benefit of some soulless corporation it's 1,000,000% certain that I would never do that. If I'm going to give that much effort it would have to be working for myself, which I have done. You can always get another job but you can't get your health back.

 

Playing for a Nat'l. Championship > playing for PlayStation PS4 PRO bundle; Fossil watch; Ogio backpack. Those were the Fiesta Bowl gifts for players last yr.

 

you lose the same amount of money either way if something happens.

 

For most of the gump players, its actually a pay cut.
