Hey If I offended anyone tonight I apologize. But I wanted to make a point of how it feels to lose. Especially if you complain about the calls. Its on someone elses homecourt just like the superdome (granted I know thats not death valley) but its still in Louisana. Just a hypothetical question..If the NC game were played in Oklahoma City do you think lsu would have still won the NC. If so tell me why you think that. Remember Home field advantage is a huge factor in games. OU is notorius for having to play big games versus the home state team in NC games...I know its been along time ago for your fans but in 1988 OU had to play Miami for the NC in the Orange bowl and 3 months later had to play Kansas for the NC in Kansas City..I will add thats the only time that a team has played for both major sports titles in one year and theywere in the frikin other teams back yard. If by chance the Cotton Bowl is awarded a 5th BCS game that will finally be a game that we will have the decided home field advantage...So when ramah...and all the others spew that were a bunch of pansies and whatever just realize it is great being there but it really hurts to lose. Enjoy your NC..because it only comes around so often and once your at the top it will hurt even more...Not being a crybaby but talking from experience! Boomer Sooner and God bless Why did it take me being negative to you guys for you too respond.
LSU would have beat Oklahoma in football if the game had been in Russia. You're lucky the score was as close as it was because the game itself wasn't. Congrats on the win tonight in basketball and good luck against Michigan, I will be pulling for OU. :geaux: :lsug:
thats a fair post, i agree but the Sugar would have been no different...LSU was light years ahead on both side of the ball....but particularly coaching. Never thought Stoops could be so outcoached. As for tonight, I predicted LSU to lose by 16 considering all the factors. OU is a better team by far w/o LLoreda regardless the OU losses. This team is in disarray and has no leader at all although both teams are young as hell and play like it. And i concur about the NC's. We better savor it. may never happen again. who knows.
Dud I can tell you that next year (football) will be hard for you...The bullet is on lsu's back...everybody will be gunning for you....(not saying holier than thou), but once you get there everybody hates you...You become everybodies rival......don't matter if its Ames Iowa......Starkville Miss...everybody want a piece of you....Fans will be louder...more obnoxius....I guess maybe you guys are about to find out how OU fans feel....Its good to be at the top but you have to pay the price...I take back everything I said about LSU fans. Maybe in nexts years OB game against OU it will be different. And remember OU has won more OB games than any other university...Its our home away from home! Good luck in baseball! Boomer Sooner
I'll take the bullseye if thats what you get when you win, it's a small price to pay. But you are correct it is harder to stay on top than it is to get there and it is very hard just to get there. :geaux: :lsug: And I don't want to scare or intimidate you and this is not a threat or an attack but TIGER BAIT!!!!! :geaux: :lsug: :champs:
Well I must admit that OU fans could take a few lessons on how opposing fans can intimidate the other fans.....Having been to college stadiums around america I can tell you the LSU fans were the best at intimidating that I have ever seen. OU fans are more into the game/atmosphere, almost upitity. I guess what I'm trying to say (from opposing fans messages boards) we leave opposing fans alone..(yes we have a few obnox fans...don't everybody) but OU fans are in general classy. I consider myself one of those classy fans. I can tell you that colo and ksu fans are the worst in the big xii......no one even comes close.....OU and NEB fans are the classiest and most supportive of ther team... Will travel to the end of the earth to support their team..And both set of fans can tell you what it feels like to lose a big game..been there done that attitude.... BOOMER SOONER
And remember we played UGA in their backyard and beat the living sh!t out of them. I think our tema may have settled down and played even a better game away from Louisiana but we'll never know for sure. And remember, it was Stoops that said the advantage for LSU wouldn't mean anything.
