So proud of the defense. Bent a few times, gave up a lot of yards, but they stood up time and time again and kept us in the game on a night where the offense almost shit the bed. Weeks was unbelievable, Swinson was awesome, Alexander was awesome. And props to Nuss, shaking off an absolutely horrible night (and a horrible game plan) to deliver when he had to deliver. Fantastic win!!!!

The defense showed a great progress tonight. I hope this is the beginning of bigger successes. The future seems pretty bright.

The game was very frustrating. Seems like it lasted forever. The refs reviewed everything and thank god because they blew a ton of calls. A ton of time outs and/or commercials. Got home after mid night. As far as the game defense played the best all year. A lot of nickel and 3 linebacker. After half time ole miss offense did nothing. Offense played its worst game. Hard to believe that Ole Miss’s defense is that good. Nuss threw into double and triple coverage many times. We have several hurt receivers too. Running game was non-existent.
But-ending was worth it. Eerily similar ending to the Alabama game 2 years ago. Can’t stand Ole Miss. Great time. Before the game got to meet Bert Jones and Mrs Billy Cannon.

Really wish Sloan had a clue how to scheme. Its feels like every drive he goes away from whats working to show everyone how smart he is. And now he is constantly subbing which telegraphs plays. Running up the middle sounds great late in 3rd after makin their D run EW all night or chase sweeps, but not opening drives. Either he doesnt understand how good most SEC lines are or he doesnt care - #milesball

Couple that with Nuss havin worst case of the yips all season and this was an easy loss. There is plenty of other things wrong but it feels like O is regressing while D is improving. Why cant both improve?

Nuss throwing into the double coverage was most concerning. It was like the old gunslinger Nuss had returned where he believed he could thread the needle at will. The triple coverage situations you noted usually involved a 2nd LSU receiver being in the same area. With all the injured WRs some of those playing may have run their routes improperly.

Nuss needs to tuck and run more, he missed a couple of opportunities to pick up some easy yards, instead he threw in to double and triple coverage. The one time he did tuck and run he got a well needed 1st down.
