The trumped up rape charge against Treon was a gift from God, if he plays, im sure we dont win that game.
No doubt that the Gator offense would have opened up some but I don't think they had the talent outside to really hurt us passing. Without two blown punt coverages that game isn't close and he couldn't have helped them slow down our running game. Driskel's designed runs were the only thing that Florida could count on during the game. I know I'll get slammed for this but I think Welter would have been more disciplined on those qb keepers and Driskel wouldn't have run for as many yards with him in the game.
Hard to say. Welter has had issues. But the Florida game showed that Beckwith has most of the same issues. But he won't improve on the bench. He has to be the man next year. Let him get some PT while we still have Welter to come in when he has a really bad game.
beckwith was pretty fucking terrible saturday. yet he still has a moment or two where he shines. maybe the light comes on eventually but hes still a better option than welter.
There were definitely some plays I'm sure he'd like to have back, but I thought the defense overall played better, despite a few lapses. If nothing else, there was some improvement with beckwith in there, which was lacking prior.
