Don't know. But Peetz was brought in to revive the Brady offense which is mainly passing. My belief is O saw that was not working good enough. I think we all heard week after week O bemoan the lack of a running game. I believe O and the offensive assistants worked on redoing our running schemes and Mashburn became part of a revised run game. I know I was only a walk on at lowly USL but was privy to how gameplan meetings are done to redo an offense or defense. I gaurantee you the was a conscience decision by O and whole staff to work on the run game after losing to Auburn.
I hate doing this, but I quote myself: "No problem giving coaches credit for a fine job today; they did just that."
Ward was the guy behind the receiver trying to catch it instead of knock it down. If he had, we would have had them 28-6 early in the first half.
Good debate guys, but for the 1st Sunday in 7 weeks I woke up proud of the effort and result of the prior days game. Yes, we won 3 other games, but barely against teams we should have dominated. And yes, yesterdays game had some regrettable plays on our part (the hail mary with 3 guys in place to make a play, the partially blocked punt with another 3 numnucks failing to block the 1 guy rushing the punter, and the taunting penalty). But playing shorthanded against a talented Fla. team that had a lot of help from the referees, it was a Great Win. Geaux Tigers!
