In addition to "Neon" and "Prime Time" his nickname should be "Grandstand." Colorado St coach rattled his cage in the media a bit for not taking his hat and sunglasses off during press conferences. Grandstand responds by calling his team together and saying,"Now they've made it personal." Another appropriate nickname: "Thin Skin."
But that shit sells to these idiot kids. They lap it up like a cat with a bowl of milk. That is why it is imperative that this train derails in spectacular fashion.
He will be at a top school within 2 years. You guys might not like it, but his ability seems to be on par with current top coaches but with the added connectivity to recruit and get kids in. Early sure, but he could be changing the game before our eyes. No salt here.
That is where we disagree. His ability to pull in top talent is top of the list. What he is able a to do with them is a different story. He is not a "top coach" It's eerily similar to a situation we know all too well. Get a bunch of talent and win on that alone. When CU runs into a real team with a real coach this will sort itself out.
I feel like people treat coaches like they do politicians. Results don't seem to matter. lol. I've watched their games. They are not playing bad football. In any case, Colorado was been out talented in every game thus far. I mean we are talking a massive gap in TCU vs Colorado talent. Even Nebraska had an advantage as well. Its not like he is swinging a bunch of 5 stars and getting them "hype".
“A NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) deal refers to an agreement allowing college athletes to monetize their personal brand by endorsing products or services using their name, image, or likeness.” NIL is no longer booster specific. Surely you know this. Booster only really affected coaching in the past with some player deals under the table. If you get a coach that can pull brands, then it doesn’t really matter what a boaster thinks. Sure some local businesses can throw some money but Baton Rouge isnt exactly an economic super powe.
