Kelly is now hamstrung by the whole Daniels for Heisman stuff. The defense was having its problems in the second half and was gassed. It quickly turned into a 3 and out, 3 and out, 3 and out…offensive offense. So, defense was forever on the field. My armchair coaching said…put in Nuss. Suddenly, there would be significant downfield threat potentially opening run (maybe). But, how could Kelly pull Daniels given media hype? Defense needed rest. Putting in Nuss would have put significant pressure on FSU backfield. I was in no way thinking Daniels was big problem. However, it’s the biggest and most immediate impact. But of course, you can’t take out the Heisman hopeful. Just one other thing…get Perkins into correct position. Geez.
Im not sure it would have mattered. Just about every rec dropped a sure catch by looking upfield or trying turn for the run on critical 3rd downs. Nabors might be the only exception but Id have to rewatch to confirm. That is coaching and discipline. Step 1, secure ball. Step 2, make the play.
I hear you but wonder how many times nuss would’ve been sacked… 0 margin for error and think cbk overplayed his hand by leaving points on the field by passing up on the 3s… took an a$$whipping last nite…. let’s see how they respond

Man that was hard to watch. Ended up eating gummies and putting less 7 up in my Old Charter so slept well, but dayum.
Whole team gets a big fat F for that game. Just pick your spots. Started off with questionable coaching in the 1st half to ZERO adjustments in the 2nd half. Daniels isnt a bad QB by any means and has more than enough talent to win. We have won with worse. So I am not ready to call for the backup until I see the coaches pull their head out of their ass. Last night was embarrassing in the 4th.
