For fun I looked up passed games against FCS opponents. 2018: Southeastern La, 31-0 2017: Chattanooga, 45-10 2016: Jacksonville St, 34-13 2015: McNeese St, cancelled 2014: Sam Houston St, 56-0 2013: Furman, 48-16 2012: Towson, 38-22 2011: Northwestern St, 49-3 2010: McNeese St, 32-10 2008: App St, 41-13 2005: App St, 24-0 2003: Western Illinois, 35-10 2002: Citadel, 35-10 2000: Western Carolina, 58-0 Average Score after 13 games is 40.46 to 8.23 Average Point Differential after 13 games is: 32.07 Looks like the conclusion is that LSU usually plays down to FCS opponents, rarely steamrolling them. Also this year's game against Southeastern fell right into the average with a 31 point differential. Also the worst performance was against Towson in 2012. So the question is: Do these games give a good indication on how good the team actually is, or are they just, "meh... whatever. Back to real football next week..."
Even J Burrow admitted that they took their foot off the gas. Said he realized they shouldn't. It happens, he was man enough to admit it.
Every team does it. Even Saban's. Its just they end up still scoring more. Its like when LSU does it, they 100% commit to playing like poo.
Not as much as LSU it seems, also seems it doesn’t really matter who is wearing the headset, LSU just doesn’t skull fuck FCS teams.
