Yeah, just like Jew-Leo "got his" on the one play that PP was out last year. It's telling when you have to go back two years.
If Bama attacks Peterson - he will come up with a couple of picks and could take one of them to the house, which would make a difference in the game.
I don't think Bama's defense being more sound will that be much of a difference maker. Our offensive problems are self inflicted. Bad QB play, terrible play calling, not utilizing talent, dropped passes, stupid penalties and poor blocking. The D really only needs to prevent the big play and wait for us to implode.
I think the loss to Auburn brings focus and purpose to this team. With two weeks to prepare, and the sting of this week's loss in the back of their minds, the players rally and pound bummer.
unfortunately, the QB play will not get better and the play calling as long as we're one dimensional will continue to be rediculous.
I know, I think we should just mail the rest of the season in and forfeit the rest of our games. We don't have shot at winning any of them. Why bother. WAS:LSU231:
I'm not saying that at all. I'm just saying we have Bama, Ole Miss and Arky... those offenses might be held in check to some degree by our defense... but our offense, if it continues to struggle to maintain drives and score points... then our defense will be gassed by the half and our season goes to chit pretty quickly.
If the O-line gets its a55 chewed this week, and they decide to step up to the plate and let the QBs do what they are supposed to do, I'd say you would be way off. Granted, JJ can't hit the broad side of a barn if it is moving, but Lee can. I'm hoping that two weeks is enough for his wrists to heal, cause we are going to need him for the rest of the season. Now .. the play calling is a different story .. but we can hope. It's doable. ... very doable.
More QB problem then anything else. Peterson staying on the field seems to be a big issue, this season as well. Julio's catches have been the difference these past two seasons, in dramatic fashion. Stay tune.
