I'm just getting a little tired of the "promised land" comment...

Plain and simple. Who do you think is a "promised land" coach, and what do you think it's going to take LSU to get those coaches? To help you out, I'd argue that perhaps Coach K, Coach Calhoun, Coach Izzo, Coach Williams, maybe Boehiem, G.Williams, Mark Few (Gonzaga--although one could argue that he's never been there), start the list. Who else do you want? Huggins? Snyder? Prosser? (these would be rejects from other schools)... Then, what do you do to get these guys in the door? Convince Skip that he should redirect football funds (for a legit NC challenging team) to basketball, where "fans" like you bash the coach and team when they're #1 in the SEC? :hihi:

By your definition, I'd like to hear your 5 step plan to make LSU a perennial Final 4-NC team in basketball. Obviously, step #1 in your book is fire Brady. Then what?

With our facilities and funds we can get a "big time" coach. I would like to see Mark Few come in and have a chance to build a top 10 program year in and year out. Dont sit there and say we cant afford a top tier coach. We can more than likely pay Few close to double what he is making now. And yes.....money talks. Also if you are in it for something other than money, its a challenge to have a top 10 team year in and year out in the SEC, just ask Tubby and Donovan, who I think is the top coaches in the SEC. So when you mix facilities, money, and a new challenge, its a must take for Few. The only thing stopping us from him is his contract runs out in 2015. So a buy out would have to be big. Now we look at a coach who is under the radar who would be a great fit here, Jimmy Patsos. JP coaches at Loyala-Md. He was Gary Williams assistant for 13 years. In his second year at the program he has went from a 1 win season (year before he took over) and now has a 13-12 record. He has a very young team and does not have hhalf the talent as what other teams have. So that has to be considered pretty good. * Edit....Patsos is not a big time coach, but has the makings to be one.

Dude, I swear that's what they said. I believe it. We had a baseball tournament scheduled last year or the year before that that we couldn't go to in California somewhere. The dept. didn't have the resources to get the team out there. But the soccer or softball team was in Arizona in a tournament at the same time.

Kinda made me think of the "Major League" movie where they have to travel by bus everywhere.

I got really pissed after I heard that. I'm gonna email Skip and ask if that was true and why. He always emails back and I'll post here what he says.

Brady took a team on probation that nobody wanted to coach and took them to the Sweet Sixteen in his second year, won the SEC West last year and is leading the SEC right now, but you want some nobody from a nothing school, barely over .500 to be the savior? Son, keep talking. Your ignorance is shining through.

Lets stop talking about this until we see how far we make it in the NCAA. We go out the first or second round and enough is enough. Give someone else a chance. Hell hire Mike Davis. Anybody, but Brady has had time to show us how good he could be, he showed he can win but not when it counts. AKA Smoke Laval

You need to learn to enjoy the ride. In your world, you would go to sleep until the season is over then decide how much fun it was?

Brady assembled that team under the weight of sanctions and ACTUALLY made it to the Sweet 16. It's all in how you look at it.

I mean lets see what Brady with this team. He loses in the NCAA I bash. He makes it to the Sweet 16, I will give him a chance. I am enjoying the ride. I love basketball and I love LSU basketball, but I am tired of mediocracy. We have the facilities to be a top team year in a year out.
