does anyone have any 1 or 200 level tickets for the game that they are willing to sell? I know i can always find some, i was just curious if anyone on here had any. I am planning on bringing my girlfriend (an lsu fan) to the game and i want pretty decent seats. Thanks in advance and :geauxtige

tough 3 game stretch here for the Tigers. The road game against Bama, now home for a tough Arkansas team and then back to the road for the Gators, if LSU wins 2 of 3 then you gotta be happy. If they only win one of them its not the end of the world. But, that Tennessee win tonite puts some pressure on the Tigers tom and over the weekend. Tennessee has to travel to Georgia this weekend so that should be a win for them. I know Georgia beat up on Bama but that should still be a TN win. So there is a good chance at TN being 9-1 at weeks end. LSU has to win to keep pace. If LSU beats Arkansas then loses to Florida and Florida beats USC tomorrow, not only will LSU fall out of first place, they will be in a tie for second overall. Definately big to atleast split these next two. I'll be there tomorrow nite in the PMAC hopefully with 12,000 or so of you guys.

Too close for comfort... even closer than I was afraid of. But a win is a win...

Too few fans... again. Skip's really going to have to think about this puzzler. It certainly isn't the product on the floor.

After a loss? Sure it is.

No matter what you and other intelligent basketball critics think (myself included), this town has had quite enough of Brady Ball. This will not change until another coach is hired.

While I won't pretend to know what every fan thinks or critics think, the reality is the Tigers are no. 1 in the SEC, and an exciting team to watch. We lost to 'Bama on the road. But, so has every other SEC team this season (lose games, that is). So, if who our coach is explains why we have the No. 1 SEC ranked teams in BOTH men and women basketball, and we probably average in the middle to the bottom of the SEC, then all I can say is...

LSU is NOT a basketball school anymore

    or

LSU does NOT have good basketball fans.

FWIW, this isn't a statement on your position, b/c I don't know what it is... at some point, the poor attendance just gets frustrating. And if you say it's Brady's fault, why aren't the fans showing up for womens' games (as compared to all the other SEC schools). People love Pokey right?

    :geauxtige

I guess the reality is, Brady will finish at the upper echelon of the SEC again, and have his team even better next year, and the "fans" will just slowly jump on the bandwagon when the team does better and better things.

LSU was never a basketball school. We've always been, and will always be, a football school. Period. End of discussion.

LSU fans will support other programs if they win, but not when they lose. Even our beloved baseball program is dropping in attendance the last few years b/c we haven't been as successful as the 90s.

Call LSU fans whatever you want ... just make sure you call them football fans!

LSU does not have good fans period. However, 90K will show up to football regardless of record. We are simply not a basketball school/town/fanbase, and the coach has soured many in this town. As I've said before, the last straw was the blowout loss to Auburn in 2002 in a sold out PMAC.

I dont like watching women's sports period. Most people in BR share my sentiment.

The team will not be better. They will lose 19 PPG and senior leadership at the SG position, and they have not showed any inclination to improve the most important position on the floor....the point. It is possible that Tyrus Thomas will go to the NBA due to some reports I've received from campus indicating he doesn't get along well with the coach (****, what else is new) along with him being a possible lottery pick in the draft.

1981-1986. I beg to differ. But, I understand if you're statement is that football is king in Baton Rouge. I don't disagree.

Whether or not you like women's basketball, assume the "interest" in womens sports vs mens sports is universal. LSU's attendance should not be SO far behind the likes of Georgia, Bama, Arkansas, etc., in any case. I don't disagree that womens' sports will draw less, but relative to other SEC schools, there's no explanation why our Lady Tigers should draw so much less.

I guess this one is a wait and see. FWIW, if you look at Brady's record since the 2002 season, his final RPI ranking has improved with every season. So, nothing would lead me to believe next year won't be better too. Davis stays. If Tyrus goes pro, we have Magnum and Darnell to plug that spot. Yes, we lose DMitch, which is big, but I think having two 6-4/6-5 legit starting SEC guards in Martin and Mason, and having Tack back, gives the Tigers depth and experience.

Bottomline on attendance, seems to be in your point that LSU is a football town and we have fairweather fans (FWIW, Tennessee is good in football and basketball, Texas is good in football and basketball--it can be done). So, if that's really true, good luck EVER getting a high-flier coach to replace Brady.
