Read what the A&M coach said about Temple. "He's the key to this team" LSUsports.net He said in so many words that he is not the best player, but he is like the floor general. Glen played his a$$ off tonight. That was a great game and a great atmosphere:geauxtige :bball: :thumb:
The refs took Jones out early. It looked to me like LSU was getting away with contact (early on) that the Aggies were not. Temple shut down Acie Law IV, and he's the guy that makes their team go. If a defense shut down our guards and the Baby picked up 2 early fouls, I don't think we'd look too impressive either. As you pointed out, we saw a glimpse of the real Aggies after we went up by 15. Anyway, my point is that I don't think we won because A&M was off their game. We won because we took their game away from them.
That was a big game in the effort to bring back the fans. A couple more wins versus rated teams and the fans will again start to fill up the place.
It seemed to be a typical game. The home team usually gets a few breaks. A&M is a physical team. Did you not see the A&M guy mug Mitchell after he blocked his shot.
