I hate to say it, but if we don't win today we'll probably be the highest nationally ranked team ever to have the worst intra-state record.:huh:

(We'll still be in the CWS and everyone else in La. will HAVE to root for LSU though):lol:.

 

Any updates on score and inning? I can't listen right now.

Nicholls has trotted out 7 different pitchers and we've scratched out 3 hits in 8 innings.

 

Bottom of the 9th getting ready to start, LSU down 1 to 3

 

Mitchell grounds out to second on maybe a check swing, 1 out
Ochinko with a full count strikes out swinging, 2 outs
Dean down 0-2 in the count, hits a long shot for a standup double
LeMahieu strikes out, Nicholls wins the game 3 to 1

That was kind of anticlimactic :/

 

My alma mater, too. Are the Tigers playing up/down to the level of their competition? No motivation here apparently. Geez. Tigers can't lose games like this, but they did.

 

Obama Nation would be pleased. It's college baseball version of spread the wealth.

We'll go back to being rich this weekend and the Colonels will revel in this win for years.
