I'm hoping that yesterday's game showed that the hitters are starting to come around. I'm concerned about our bullpen, but a 15-4 lead may have played a part in allowing those late runs. This could turn out to be a pretty good team, but The SEC is tough and our record may not reflect that. I do see steady improvement and would have to credit Manieri and his staff for that.
It was 15-4 when LSU removed the entire outfield, and replaced them with subs. I guarantee a couple of the bloops that fell in front of the new CF'er would've been caught by Jared. In the top of the 8th, there weren't any hard hit balls, just seeing eye singles, and the aforementioned bloop singles, and that's when 3 of the final four runs scored. The last run came in the 9th on a solo HR. No biggie.
