I hear both sides of the fence with Jenkins, but I give the nod to Florida from all I have read. It's no more than 55/45 split, however. Will be one of the more interesting NSD announcements.

Jenkins to UF helps LSU with JJones. Silver lining.

As far as LSU, we have a really good shot at it. I think we will need a four star besides Mingo in order to do it, however. We have about 50-65 percent chance for that to happen at this point. Burfict will probably have to switch to ASU in order for LSU to win it in the end.

I must say for LSU having such a great class, and hearing how USC has a shot with how they are losing some recruits is just unbeleivable. To be fair to our class, I think that some of the recruits that USC has are hyped a little because they do play on the westcoast. Answer me this, will we beat Bama in recruiting? Thats all that matters to me.

Depends on if they get Massie and Richardson.

Best Gator guy I know of says it's a 90/10 split in Florida's favor... I'm not quite that confident.

The staff said they picked up a commitment 2 weeks ago (#17, when Jenkins visted), and I was fairly sure he would silent commit to Florida after his visit.

Jones is being looked at as a DE by Rivals now, which would play into Florida's hands because they have no DE in this class. Depends on how willing Jarvis is to move around, but don't think Jenkins committing would help you TOO much. Jenkins and Jones do not play the same linebacker position.

LOL, if we lose the recruiting battle, I'm really gonna lay off TF's recruiting section next season. Going from best class ever to not even best class this offseason seems quite off the banter that has been going on here. Not that it is that important in the grand scheme, but dang.

Well the Debose/Campbell saga really bit us in the ass.

Going into that week, no one could foresee us losing out on both.

Then Ford didn't get his deserved 5th star.

A lot of things went wrong in a short period of time.

I think we stay in front if Bama doesn't get Patterson, and that is assuming they get Myles, who very well could be looking at Tennessee.

That's the difference in getting just another player ore two. As a whole it is not that big of a deal -- the class hasnt really changed since Izzy said that.

So if Byron Moore HAD come to LSU then would he have been an overrated player or would he have dropped a star simply because he crossed the Mason-Dixon line? Curious too if the ones we're after that are from outside the West, can we depend on their ranking a little more?

    Kidding. Sort of. :yelwink2:

Compared to some of the players in the south, yea. I just think that you tend to see more players rated higher because of the exposure they have. I think that is why USC tends to have more busts than any team because they sign more 5 * players from the west coast. I am in no way saying USC is overrated or has no sort of football program . I also know that USC churns out more NFL talent than most programs. I just feel that a 4* in the south could be a 5* on the westcoast. Not being biased just an opinion.

I was looking at it last night.. the Scout/Rivals discrepancy is HUGE. Sometimes more than 10 spots difference. I used final class rankings.. there might be a better way to do it though. Seeing how the different services rank classes differently.

First recruit listed on rivals is Fluker.. let's have fun with him ;)

Fluker: Rivals (#1 OT), Scout (#8 OT)
Richardson: Rivals (#2 RB), Scout (#2)
    A.J McCarron: Rivals (#7 QB), Scout (#17)
Dre Kirkpatrick: Rivals (#1 CB), Scout (#5)

Just the recruits we hear the most about.
