Anemic Offense Totally out of sync. Offense shut out in the first half. Only one or two predicted a letdown, but they were right. There's no other way to characterize the 1st Half but to call it a letdown on the offensive side of the ball. Defense looks great. Here's what I see on the offense: 1) We have no running threat or running game, this allows UF to play the pass. 2) We aren't passing the ball well enough to move the ball down the field, therefore, I smell an upset, UNLESS 3) The Defense or Special Teams can score a TD, and the D holds UF to no second half points. I am not confident in our ability to get the offense back on track. When our offense starts the game flat, in my experience, they finish the game flat. I can't recall a LSU football game where our offense looks bad and gets shut out in the 1st half but then suddenly plays great in the 2d half. These next two quarters will tell us whether we are a Top 10 team! I SAY THAT WE ARE!! :geaux: :lsug:
Its an off game for LSU. There is no way they play as well as they do for the first 6 games to not be considered a top team only to lay a stinker here. Florida has a lot to do with that because they are playing a whale of a game. It doenst look like Saban had this team ready. I've never been sold on Saban like everyone else. LSU may still win but Saban and Zook are an aweful lot alike. Both can recruit better then they can coach. I think Saban's a little bit of a slickster and his schtick gets annoying. He even slams his players like we all blame tubby for doing which is classless.
"Man I hope we are not priming ourselves for an upset. Treat this Florida team like any other Florida team.... problem is we have never seen Florida in the position of a tailspin underdog and they have enough players left on that team to remember the good old days. But with that said, zooks gonna lose this game for them." I guess Zook gets lucky now and then....we just blew it.
Re: Running Game We haven't had a good running game all year. The secret is out now. With Addai out, LSU might have even more of a one-dimensional offense. You can't win the SEC with that. :geaux: :lsug:
