I agree. If we have to choose between top quality players and mediocre coaches or visa versa, I think most of us would take the former. It this were baseball, I would take the latter. It seems that athleticism and emotion carry teams a long way in football and basketball moreso than baseball.

That said, I think LSU can have both top tier coaching and top tier players. We are right to demand both.
