Okay...LSU Womens bball lost the greatest player to play for the Lady Tigers...you don't get better by losing Seimone Augustus and we certainly have reloaded and are still up there.
And are you really bringing USC and Pete Carroll in this? They have a recruiting issue right now and they also happen to play in the pac 10. Put them in the SEC and they will have down years every year compared to now. Our baseball team is rebuilding, all the big schools have to rebuild at one point or another.
I'm not such a big expert on baseball but look at LSU football pre-2000, USC football pre 2002, and Ohio State football pre 2001...all rebuilding years and led to something better.

 

You named one sport from each school. Now, you will see that every school you mentioned has had other top teams "fall," like LSU. But that would require effort, and not support "your theory," so I see why you avoided creating a rational response.

Holy Sh!t!!! Fire Paul!!! This is unacceptable from a team in a rebuilding stage. How could you possibly lose 2 meaningless games in February. This is obviously a sign of bad things on the horizon. Remember back in '00, we had a losing record (IN SATE for chrissakes), dropped a couple to Toolame, Southern beat us, even freaking Northwestern St. All we did that season was win a National Title.

And this is outrageous considering we're such a traditional power in this sport?

Of course, losing National player of the year, first pick overall in the WNBA draft, best player ever at the school, should have been easy to replace.

And you have never posted a positive thought or comment about any of LSU's athletic teams.

 

Brady is not known as a great recruiter, nor was Lavel. I think that has a lot to do with the current status of those two sports. Pokey has had a run of bad luck in the last week or so, but she has time to turn things around.
