Well, not now, lol. I switched to ucla/AZ not long after making that last post. Looks like it was a close game, much closer than Bama anticipated. Now waiting for Ole Piss/Kentucky.
She's been called for that a handful of times this season. Coming out of the "officials meetings" this season one of their "bullet points" was maintaining contact with the rubber during the windup. It's been relayed that last night was rooted in a scouting report and a *mention" to the umps in an effort to get into a freshman's head. I saw you referenced the Florida game. Did you watch any? Last night during the Bama vs UGA game Mowins brought UF and IP's up during Tana's little span. 13 LOB last night. I mean, damn. 13. Which brings me to my visit here today ... looking for you. I've been meaning to ask. Would you rather the PAC have a softball tournament or are you fine with the status quo? When I look at the B1G tourney and see a Northwestern team that's just outside the top eight in RPI I can see how it could really help them. They'll see be in the top 16, I'm sure. Would you rather have double or single?
Lol. So she's been called for it, probably got away with it too, but when a mention is made, like ALL coaches do, it's to get in her head? This is how it's played and Bama is no victim. No worries, if Bama ever gets a shot at ucla, I'm sure Coach Murphy will do his best to get in Garcia's head. She's a freshman...and the first Pac12 player in history to win both Pitcher and Player of the year honors. "Garcia has recorded either a win (20) or a save (2) in 22 of her 23 pitching appearances and has posted nine double-digit strikeout games this season for UCLA, which has maintained a top-three ranking nationally. To date, she is the Pac-12 leader in ERA (0.71), strikeout-to-walk ratio (7.92) and hits allowed per seven innings (3.78). She owns the sixth-best batting average for the Bruins (.348), has hit eight home runs and 40 RBIs." Yes, I watched the game. Tana? I'm fine with no tournament. There are really only 3 ranked teams in contention and why waste the energy playing useless games? Do ucla, Washington, and Arizona really need to play another 3 or 4 games against the likes of Oregon State, Utah, Oregon (sorry duck), and kal who ALL have seriously losing conference records? And for what? Let's say some unexpected thing happens and kal upsets everyone to win the tournament. They still shouldn't be going to the NCAA's and whomever they beat would have wasted pitching arms. Double or single what? Elimination? At what level or round? For the most part, I'm fine with how it is.
What advantage does a pitcher gain by not maintaining contact with the rubber during the windup anyway? No leads/throwing to bases and unless they’re in the delivery part/forward motion part (using it to get closer to plate before releasing) I think they do far worse that goes uncalled in terms of illegal pitches. And I didn’t even see the pitches she was called for last night so not even sure why here’s was illegal.
Terry, I know you’ve seen me tell our fans to stop squeezing their pussies and crying officiating. Do you honestly think that happened at this level and at this point of the season? Serious question cause you usually say things on good source. Just seems so Rec Ball of a tactic.
It is during delivery and it is illegal. There are 2 basic pitching rules that are being discussed. 10.4.5 Leaping is not allowed. The pitcher may not become airborne on the initial drive from the pitcher’s plate. The pivot foot must slide/drag on the ground. 10.4.6 Crow hopping is not allowed. The pitcher may not replant, gain a second starting point and push off her pivot foot. Once having lost contact with the pitcher’s plate, the pivot foot may trail on the ground but may not bear weight again until the pitch is released. Here's a pic of Barnhill with back foot disengaged from the rubber, essentially airborne. I saw enough of them and at least the first 2, not sure if there were more, were illegal. Her foot almost never comes into contact with the rubber during delivery and the back foot must touch the rubber and no backward step is allowed to build momentum.
Dunno any of that but thought Terry should know that LSU softball had a fish in the dugout 4 years ago. https://twitter.com/hscheinukphoto/...tball-womens-college-world-series-dugout-fish
Are you REALY telling me what constitutes an illegal pitch? Or just over answering my question? And though there’s no backward step allowed, they do rock back and some lose contact in doing so- not at college level as much as younger. That’s what I thought may have been her problem, based on a post in this thread. Reminder, Imsaid Imhadnt seen the pitch(es) in question. Veteran pitchers maintsin contact by just sliding their foot across the rubber in doing so- as I know you know.
You said you weren't sure why they were illegal. Rule stated, and although no pic, I definitely saw a violation. Rocking wasn't her issue. She's 6'1". I think she's got problems with her entire motion, including keeping that lead foot inside the circle. I actually thought that might have been the call on her first illegal pitch last night. Her feet are just all over the place during motion. Her foot was completely off.
I am pretty sure LSU is the reason for the no props in the dugout rule. feather boa... like there is another kind of boa donkey mask ape mask previously mentioned rally fish iron man mask telephone many others Mardi Gras in the dugout.
