Don't forget about Arkansas. There's also a few home games we'd have to win as well to go undefeated. It's not a fantasy to think we're capable of going undefeated. It is a fantasy to think anything less is a dissapointment. I bet you thought AU wasn't that good last year either, but they still were a top 15 team even with all they lost to the draft. Urban Meyer has shown vast improvement in his 2nd year at all of his other stops. Florida was a contender for the East last year and will continue to be. Tennessee had a big let down season last year, don't expect things to be that bad again. They will be a much improved team.
Well, I must say that you folks are living up to the reputation that LSU fans have always had unrealistic expectations. Anybody who thinks that their team should automatically go 12-0 in any given year is really jumping out there. I mean, going to Florida, Auburn and Tennessee is pretty damn tough. It's not like they are gonna lay down and let you whip their butts. You may beat them regardless. LSU is a very, very good football team and will be next year. But, these othere teams aren't chopped liver. And before anybody says anything, I know what our record has been lately.You guys have been blessed with a tremendous amount of success lately; enjoy it, have fun, but don't make the standards so high that one loss ruins a season. Those of us who have teams that aren't very good dream of being in the position that ya'll are in.
You ever thought that the reason MSU sucks so bad is b/c you fans have Saints fever. If you expect your team to lose 2 or 3 games (in MSU's case 6-7 games) every year then they probably will. If you set the bar very high year in and year out then it will force who ever is in charge to pooh-pooh or get of the can.
Well, Vienna, we did make a change. Look, we don't have the resources that you guys have. We do need to make a few more changes, mainly the AD. But Coach Croom is slowly building our program back to a respectable level. It's gonna take a few more years but we're getting there. I see nothing wrong with high standards. I'm just saying that expecting your team to go 12-0 knowing that they go to Tenn., Fla. and Auburn is stepping way out on the proverbial limb. Just sounds to me like if your team went 11-1 and lost to any of those 3 teams, you would be bummed out. That's pretty high to me.
:bncry: just joking. I like what Croom did so far but he is moving at snails’ speed if you ask me. As long as you beat old miss IM happy. 11-1 is good for me. That could get us in the SECCG and then a NCG. I don’t think 10-2 is gonna cut it. We have too much talent on this team not to win the SEC. Now if 10-2 puts LSU in the SECCG I would be happy w/that but if LSU gets blown out in that game then I think it’s a waist of a year.
