I think the chances of a 12-0 year is there. But that is tough to do. If we go 11-1 in the regular season and win the SEC crown, we will have a legitimate shot at another NC.
I hope you are right about Broussard, but I would not count too much on Vincent. He has had two years to turn it around, and has not done so. Don't expect him to do it next year.
Glad to see that you didn't respond to the original post 12 and 0. Who do you want at QB? Do you think LSU can go 12 and 0? Or do you just like pasting smileys all over the place? Give us some insight CajunJ.
:thumb:  :tigerhead :cuss:  :bncry: :angryfire :hihi: :yelwink2:  :dis: o:   :sob: :nope:    I can give a rat's ass who ANYONE thinks should be the starting QB. In fact, I'll support Coach Miles in whomever he deems best for the job......after all, it is HIS job. I support any kid who dons the  jersey, busting his ass on the field, making us all proud.....even if we DON'T go 12-0.
Seeing he as just about the same amount of rep points as you in 20X less the amount of posts, I'd value his opinion more then yours on this board.
Yeah. I also think record sales are a total measure of a band's worth and the #1 team in the AP Poll is the best college football team in all the land. I was just responding in the same toolish way to the guy for slamming downtown for not being on this board as long as him.
Thank you LSU alum24. Once again, Venice, I didn't say we don't have a QB or a talented one, I said we're not sure which QB will basically be our guy, etc. Yeah, your argument is that it doesn't matter because all 3 of our QBs will win (one of them hasn't even played yet)... That's great and everything, but some QBs tend to freeze up a little when they know another guy is breathing down their neck for the position - this leads to some bad throws and bad end results. Some QBs like the competition and it makes them better. We won't know which ones we have until next year because Flynn didn't make a push until the Peach Bowl. And the QB situation was just one of the things I mentioned. If you think our running game doesn't need improvement from last year then you probably think Arkansas played a competitive game against USC last year. And our defense??? We lost basically 3/4 of our whole starting D-line and our linebackers have been weak for a few years now. If the D-line doesn't come to play, our defense is not nearly as good. Just some things to consider for your flawless argument... Oh, and Cajun J - some pretty good stuff there.
Absolutely correct. Because of a scheduling quirk in the 21st century, LSU has its three toughest SEC games on the road in even years and at home in odd years. It's tough to win on the road in the SEC. Every year LSU alternates between a favorable SEC schedule and a difficult SEC schedule. It affects our record. A fool could see it. 2000 -- 8-4 2001 -- 10-3 2002 --8-5 2003 -- 13-1 2004 -- 9-3 2005 -- 11-2 2006 -- ?? The simple fact is that LSU has a tougher road schedule in even years which translate into single-digit wins. In odd years, LSU gets the tough games at home and gets double-digit wins. The best LSU team in the last 50 years didn't go undefeated in the SEC even then. Odd years (avg. 11.3 wins)= 3 SECCG games, 3 bowl game wins, 2 SEC titles, 1 National title. Even years (avg. 8.3 wins)= 1 bowl win Losing 21 seniors will produce a drop-off whether we like it or not. 2006 will be a minor rebuilding year with a tough road schedule to break in a lot of new troops. Now, ... 2007 is a schedule made for a championship run with all three tough SEC games at home and high-profile OOC opponent , Virginia Tech, also at home. LSU will be more experienced in 2007 and Miles own recruits will be in the mix alongside Nick's. But in 2006 . . . while LSU is capable of 12-0, 9-3 is far more likely. Wishful fantasy doesn't cut it in the real world.
???????:thumb: Historically------it's a fact------LSU was approximatly 50 YEARS between national championships. If that holds up, I'll never see the next one.....:bncry: :bncry:
