tigerbait.com said he was still not sure (as of 4:08 pm) today... He has until midnight to decide. One way or another, I'm glad that it's a tough choice for him in that at least we all know that he's thinking a lot about it and not just "jumping" because someone is pumping him up about it.
I think it is good news for us that he is still not declared. The fact that he is taking this long makes me think he may be leaning towards staying.
LOL, Well if I'm right now, it means I was completely wrong before. I thought it was a no brainer for him to enter the draft. But in this case, I don't mind being wrong since it helps the Tigers.
Don't know where the midnight thing came from, but I have confirmed that it is incorrect. The deadline to file passed at 5 pm cst. Anyway, no news on Landry does not mean he did not declare. The final list of underclassmen available for the draft will not be released until Thursday because anyone that declares and does not sign with an agent has until Wednesday to change their mind. Surely someone in the media will get us an answer before Thursday, but if not we will have to wait until then to see if Landry's name pops up on the list or not. At this point if the story is true about him still being undecided, he probably faxed in his paperwork and will use the three days to finalize his decision.
If Landry had declared today, would the LSU administration or coaching staff have heard or been informed about it? ________ Bongs
I wouldn't want to say "definately", but I would think that they would have known, yes. It would have been nice if he held a press conference ala Kevin Faulk, though. :thumb:
They know either way. Bad news is they haven't said he is coming back, good news is they haven't said he is gone. Leads to believe he filed the paperwork and has not signed with an agent, so has three days to decide to stick with it or stay in school. Had he not filed, we would have had some sort of confirmation that he gave up his option to declare I would think.
Dreadfully, I believe you could be right... But, with it being Sunday, and the deadline being at 5 pm or so, perhaps no one was available in the SID office to run anything?? (I'm grasping at straws, yes, I know...)
Probably not even a story here because in LaRon's mind he is just preparing for the beginning of the semester and has long ago decided he'd be playing football his senior year. :thumb:
