LSU rivalries - question for the board

Growin' up in Miss (I didn't like either Ole Miss or State) I remember those LSU/Ole Miss games were really wild, woolly and weird. Played the games around Halloween. Must have seen Billy Cannon's punt return a million times (well at least a hundred).
Now with the Earthquake, Fire and Interceptions games it looks like the AU/LSU rivalry has taken over from Ole Miss.
Anyway you look at it, it's gonna be big.

 

Since I can remember of late it has been the Auburn (insert your expletive here) tigers. Funny story, when I was in high school (seems like 20 years) I was dating a girl from GA that had just moved here. She hated GA, and she hated the TIDE even more. She was a die-hard AU fan. I remember the "earthquake" game really well, a bunch of LSU fans were at her house to watch the game and we were taking sh-t because we were being beat but we had the last laugh thanks to Mr. Fuller. Anyway we were all asked to leave and she had to wear one of my LSU sweatshirts to school the next day.

 

As of right now

1.Auburn
2.Bama
3.Arkansas

The Tulane and Ole Miss rivalries have lost thier strenght as of late. I can tell you for sure that Auburn is without a doubt our biggest rivial in most student's minds.

 

I hate a&m so they are up there on my list
1. Auburn(lstUdent said every student hates them with a passion)
2. A&M(I wish they would bring this back)
3. Ole miss( they have been down as of late but did beat us 2 years ago and gave us a good game last year, I think it will pick back up)
4.Arkansas( hate the rednecks)
5. Tulane(old
6. Bama (old sec rival)
7. Florida(have to hate them because of SOS)

 

i think its sport-specific. i would say arkansas in basketball, and miss st in baseball. but i'm dumb, that is just like what it seemed like to me growing up around those sports. also nolan richardson can eat my ass.

 

You forgot to mention the whistle in the end zone game. I remember AU q-back Stan White was in the end zone on a pass play, he heard a whistle from the crowd and he thought it was the ref calling the play dead and ended up being a safety.
