he may not have had to be a hero if he doesn't throw the pick 6 earlier in the game, all he did was make up for his mistakes.
even without the first half INT, lsu would have still been down when lee came back in the 2nd half. a Fr leading a comeback on the road in the SEC is heroic. its not like he was just handing the ball off. he had two TDs--one of them to win the game with one minute left. damn, y'all act like he ate your children.
Because Lee couldn't complete a pass (to his own guys, that is) in the first half. Same as the Troy game.
Wow, I can't believe there are still such strong worded posts about the struggles of a redshirt freshman. Yes he struggled big time, but how many redshirt freshman don't? I know there are some examples of young QB's playing well, but that is a rarity. Many a young QB has fallen flat on his face and developed into a quality QB later on in his career. Yes Lee struggled at a very key position, but some of you are being much too harsh now that the season is over. Yes his play was bad and it deserved criticism during the season, but give the guy a chance to improve before you bury him. Jefferson has won the starting role and I think will be super. However don't be surprised if at some time we nee Lee to step in and carry the load for one reason or another. He has a lot to prove no doubt, but come on guys HE WAS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN give the guy a break.
His biggest problem last year was looking at 1 receiver on a play and then throwing it to that one receiver ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the time. By the end of the year, DB's were trained to read his eyes and jumped routes all over the field.
And Lee had a whole year to prepare for his starts. If you can't see that Jefferson is better than Lee, then all I can say is Wow. Jefferson is one of the most talented QBs out there, and he has the poise/field prescence that Lee lacks. Not sure how you can say Lee has improved GREATLY this offseason. Guy through 4 passes in the spring game, and one of them could have been intercepted if it were a better safety than McCray back there. Garrett looked better than Lee in the spring game, without a doubt.
