I understand. When you see the heat he takes off Weeden and the time taken off the clock, even by today's rules, the value will be seen. If you want reach, I mean reach, lets talk Tannehill. Not just because of his judgement and inexperience, but he wasn't a must get, nor was he on the radar of anyone not named Miami. Just trade your pick, move down a few spots and you get your QB and some extra picks.
I look for RR to be the first one off the board tonight, I do think that this would be the best pick, but you never know. Dallas made a great move, Rob Ryan had to be thanking his lucky starts after last night. Even the Texan fans thought this was a great pick. Vikings had two good picks and got help where needed. Brockers at 14 was a very good pick for the Rams. Lets see how the Rams finish this draft. The reach picks to me were Poe and Irvin, but we'll see. Speaking of the Texans, two things, they made a great pickup of two former LSU Tigers..... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/04/12/bradie-james-is-joining-the-texans/ http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/29/source-texans-do-on-year-deal-with-donnie-jones/
I agree, I don't think Tannehill is going to do anything in the NFL. I also think the BC linebacker was a reach. It's well known that in the NFL you have to take on blocks as a linebacker, and that's something this kid just hasn't done. Also, the Cardinals taking Michael Floyd when they could have gotten Dre' Kirkpatrick or Michael Brockers. They didn't need another receiver. They need a quarterback and defensive help.
You pay your money, you take your chance. Today Upshaw and Randle go in the second. After that, gonna be a whole lot more reaching than what we saw last night. In the NFL, you get to pay for your convictions. I like that.
Yep, but this former Tiger is............ http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/16/cowboys-snatch-nate-livings-from-bengals/
Yep, he and Whitworth use to work the same side of the OL. Remember, Livings signed with LSU in the classes of 2000, 2001 and 2002.
