I agree. Especially if Fisher has evidence. As this lingers, those with an axe to grind with LSU or the SEC will (have) exploit (ed) this to fit into how they report the news. Time to get our PR machine working instead of some rag tag lawyer who is working on contingency
We hear a whole lot about JJ and team mates being out after curfew, breaking the rules, and getting into a fight. JJ has had a very clean record since his arrival at LSU. JJ dragging someone out of their car and beating them does seem "out of character" for him. Whenever something seems out of character you have to look first and judge last. JJ should be given some credit for his character, while at LSU, up to this point in time. As we will now get to hear the side of the assailants, it would not surprise me to hear evidence come to light that the "victems" propogated this inside the bar, then allowed it to continue on as the players were leaving, even to the point that they made verbal/physical threats and may have used derrogatory language at the players, thus instigating this physical altercation. Now, it does not excuse any of the LSU players from not walking away........... sticks and stones.......... but it may shed some light that it takes two to tangle and the victems were not as innocent as has been portrayed in the media so far.
Me too. I don't want jj in trouble. If it's meant for jj to lead this team I will support him and cheer for him. I am ready to see a pocket passer return to lsu. I enjoy watching that kind of play over option football. If jj is our qb then I hope he succeeds. If he isn't then I hope his replacement succeeds. It's simple, I want our qb to succeed no matter who it is. Next year we will have a pocket passer as qb. I can wait.
And I wonder what the odds are that it shows one of the alleged victims throwing a punch at a LSU player inside the bar?
Actually not in my experience. If I had to guess, on the facts as they appear right now, then whoever is convicted of a 2d degree battery, assuming it's their first offense, would very likely have a probationary period, backed by a suspended sentence. And, again assuming no prior felony convictions, they would probably be sentenced pursuant to La. Code Crim. Pro. Art. 893, which would allow the conviction to be, in effect, dismissed if probation is successfully completed. The net effect would be that, after successful completion of probation, their record would be clean again.
I'd love to see this video of the "victims" actions... this is why no civil trial will take place and football will go on with no interruptions.
