That's possible. If true, he would have been on some sort of probation, which typically stipulates that you can't go to a bar. Probably why he was trying to say that he was just "picking up friends". Busted.
Either way no matter how shady this dude is.....The starting QB for a football team has to be smarter than what was alleged!!
This is a great way to win the case but look guilty in the process. All the lawyers care about is beating the case. Then they are done. The accused has to live with the public perception that they were guilty and their fancy lawyer got them off. That stigma can follow you through the rest of your life. See OJ and Casey Anthony. Obviously these charges are not as extreme but could taint public perception of the players and LSU. I have always been of the opinion that if you are truly innocent then truth sell set you fee.
Alleged is the key word. At a minimum, I think the alleged story has been supplemented with a slanted spin.
Don't you see, he "has" to say that publicly, so when they do get special treatment he can say "I didn't give them any special treatment"
