There was no basis for singling T'Bob out, except in trying to divert heat off his QB by thowing out the name of a well known player. I found it exceptionally weak. The basis for singling out Jefferson was that some witnesse(s)?/victims? said he kicked someone in the head and sent them to the hospital.

That doesn't give Miles the right to throw his name out like that. No one accused him of being in the fight. He was one of maybe 50 players who were naughty by following a tradition that broke a rule.

Miles was p***ed, and with good right. Who cares whose name he called out? And T-Bob has been in the doghouse before for problems with his judgement. Have you never been angry and said something that (perhaps) you "shouldn't" have said?

That will really help the LSU program.

    People make mistakes.

I've been one of Miles harshest critics. His gameday decisions have driven me mad.

But one thing I've never questioned is the man's heart or his dedication to his players.

Hope the members of the "lynch mob" remembers the North Carolina Lacrosse team incident. The lies of the "victim" and her "witness" were believed over the statements of the team members who were present.....until the truth finally prevailed. Of course, the reputations of the team members were destoyed, caused in part by the university's treatment of them. That was reverse racism in action---in the LSU situation, many traditional racists are coming forward, especially on a particular blog filled with 'haters'. Decades ago, prior to 'thugs' (code word of racists), students were beat up in bars for no reason by some football players and nothing would ever be done, so this is not a 'new' phenomenon caused by 'thugs'. They were thugs alright, some out of reform schools.
