I was a student at LSU in the mid '60s and there were curfews then and they were broken. You had some players that were frequent violators and others who were infrequent violators. Of course this was in the pre Internet days so it didn't receive any media attention. If somebody got their ass whipped in TigerLand they took it and marched on. If some furniture was damaged an envelope would normally show up to take care of the damages. Oh how I long for the good old days.
Yeah. The crack dealer I mentioned? Ten years probation, zero jail time. As a CI, he led to the arrest of over 30 other dealers.
Why? Because it's the dawn of a new season and that is the freaking rule. You don't like it? Don't play college ball--especially at LSU. My close friend was the starting FB at La Tech when Crowton was the head coach there. Even at Tech, he said it best, "Your ass belongs to the program beginning in the summer and you get your time after the last game.
i have no idea of the "source", and it's just another tweet, so take this for what it's worth.... this story keeps twisting more than a fat lady trying to get into spandex.
Why does he have to protect himself? He did nothing wrong, he set a curfew for the players and they willingly broke it behind his back... starting to think you got comprehension issues bubba. Miles isn't going to tell his athletes to go ahead and break his curfew, but if you do something stupid you're on your own... again... He set a 1030 curfew, they checked in, then when coach left they bailed out for a good time, reasons like the bar fight are why it's smarter to just follow the rules set forth, especially for those getting to attend LSU for free.
See, this is what happens when you hold in all of your negative thoughts. You need to let them out every now and then or else outbursts like this happen. :thumb:
