Against an LSU football player in Baton Rouge? I'd want legal advice no matter how cut and dry I thought the situation was.
GEAUX Whoopin GEAUX WHOOPIN SOME DUCKS without the players who were at the bar , yes now that makes sense. I am reminded of an interview JJ had with a sports network, "Movin on up"
well yes if some LSU player obviously did something wrong..... punishment is in order..... BUT this is starting to sound like a Witch hunt.... jus sayin.
Plus, the LSU players not getting interviewed until Monday gives them time to get their stories straigt. :yelwink2:
There's no need to file warrants, go to the school, handcuff these guys and haul them off, they didn't kill anyone. These kids are high profile and aren't going anywhere... Chances are, depending on what comes out Monday, they'll just wait for the 4 to show up and question them... Then go ahead and file the charges after questioning. Happens all the time.
If these kids were in the band, on chemistry scholarship, or working in the maintenance department we wouldn't be interested. It is indeed stupid they got caught up in this but I can't get it out of my mind how many like situations have occurred over the past 100 years that weren't blown up this big. Again, I know it was stupid. I also know there are two sides to every story. These kids may be all to blame, not to blame (other than being at the wrong place at the wrong time), or, just as much to blame as the kids they tangled up with. I say let the police do their thing, present the facts if they can come up with an unbiased set of facts, then proceed. I do not see need for these kids to get the "death penalty" over a bar room fight. I am just happy no one brandished a gun or knife. I hope a lesson was learned. I also hope that the media and others don't make this bigger than what it is. On the other hand, whoever was at fault needs to pay in some way. I know Coach Miles will do the right thing and I also know whatever he does there will be neysayers on either side saying his punishment was too much or too little.
These kids play the number one sport in the US at a very high level in front of close to 100,000 fans and millions on live TV. It's going to get a little more attention than the chemistry student or maintenance department worker. That's just a fact of life, no changing that. However I don't think they will be treated any harsher than anyone else would be. The only greater risk they run is losing the privilege of playing for LSU. It's something they should have thought of before they decided to break the rules.
