Back in the day I remember the rodeo team at McNeese routinely kicking the football players azzes. I don't remember one ever getting suspended. --------- after meeting several of the participants in the National Finals Rodeo, I'd take a half dozen rodeo dudes over football players in a fight - any day and every day of the week toughest dudes out there, they'll get on a bull with a seperated shoulder for $ 100 prize money
Report: LSU's Jordan Jefferson, three teammates to face battery charges | NOLA.com Jefferson, Davenport, Downs, and Landry to be taken into custody. I'm thinking that if JJ and Davenport are actually charged with a felony, they will be dismissed from the team. The other two suspended for misdemeanors.
Those were the names most often thrown around by the anonymous internet characters who know people who know people. NOLA.com has been around a while. But its hard to say how reliable their unnamed source is.
The only part of that article that sounds iffy is the 2nd-degree battery charge. Friday, the police were saying that the victims has minor injuries.
But nola.com isn't reporting the pending charges. They are reporting that sportsnola.com is reporting the charges. I find it hard to believe that some obscure blog out of New Orleans could scoop the Advocate and BR TV stations on this.
That is what I don't get. Second degree battery is what you get charged with for beating a dude within an inch of his life.
