Lowery also says the assailants left in a silver vehicle, identified later in the report as a Monte Carlo. Shouldn't be too hard for police to id its owner, if it is in fact owned by a member of the LSU football team.

Just an example of what is on ESPN, SI, CBS and FoxSports sites.

And it releases the name of the witness, which was redacted from the BRPD report on local news stations.

Other than that, I guess it's not significant at all. Carry on as usual.

IF TRUE GET READY JARRETT LEE

    Police: Witness on Jordan Jefferson

BATON ROUGE, La. -- An eyewitness says she saw LSU starting quarterback Jordan Jefferson kick someone in the face during a bar fight that injured four people last week.
The account from 19-year-old Victoria Long was included in a police report released Thursday, a day after police seized 49 pairs of athletic shoes from Jefferson's apartment.
Baton Rouge police Sgt. Don Stone wouldn't explain why police took the shoes. Stone says no arrests are expected Thursday.
Jefferson and three teammates -- offensive lineman Chris Davenport, linebacker Josh Johns and receiver Jarvis Landry -- were interviewed by police this week about the fight that occurred in the parking lot of a bar where police say numerous LSU players were gathered.
Long told police that she also saw Johns attacking the man kicked by Jefferson.

Because they apparently identify the witness whose identity was redacted in the police report released by WAFB.

I also find it interesting that police apparently called this young woman to an update on Lowery's condition after he left the hospital (is she involved with him; does that skew her point of view) and that Lowery apparently wasn't at the bar when the cop initially showed up but was there when the cop came back about an hour later.

A man witnesses say was kicked by LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson in an Aug. 19 brawl is being accused of stalking his ex-girlfriend in a Baton Rouge bar hours earlier and hitting her friend.

I made a comment a day or two ago that it would not surprise me, once we hear the players' side of the story (which we have not yet), that the Lowery kid was the instigator and a d-bag. Turns out he probably is both. This entire thing is crazy. I assume Fisher has enough evidence in favor of the players to allow the BRPD to hang themselves and then present their side? This is a whole lotta drama for a bar fight.
