Very true. Without going down a completely and just as tumultuous path, it's hard to reconcile a country that seemingly strongly supports abortion but gets all out of whack over gun ownership. We have a country that embraces misogynistic rap artists but then pressures them not to perform at the Super Bowl because....Kapernick. People and their growing numbers are indeed the main problem.
Free speech alley breaking out to the main forum. What's the point of having strict state laws when you can drive to the next state over and get a gun no questions asked.
I don’t see how it could work in cities when the rest of the country is a free for all. I bet gun issues are less in China/Russia/India. Still rather live in the good ol US of A.
In Australia, you go to a range and the handguns are attached to a cable in in some kind of limiting box to hold it/shoot from. Reason? With gun restrictions, people were going to ranges to commit suicide. At least that's what I was told by someone who went.
The whole premise of more restrictive gun laws falls flat on its face in light of the reality that criminals are not going to obey those laws. We already have enough laws. Too many laws in some places like Chicago where the murder rate is sky high.
