that's what I was referring to....after the season is over, we'd have all of December to get working on his replacement and then do the deed after Jan 1 to save the money
That would be ideal...but have also heard we think a hire could be more successful before Jan...Just got to wait and see how it all plays out with all parties involved.
If we wait, we will get the leftovers. Need to start now IF they are going to or are considering a move. Start by judging interest from a very small list of hand selected, specific targets. Very discreetly contacted. IF there is significant interest from the right party, make a move. I may be wrong but I don't see this happening until after next year. I am assuming we don't continue to crap the bed of course.
I hope we win out as well. As much as i want Les gone can't bring myself to wanting LSU to lose rest of way.
I have a feeling LSU is going to smoke Ole Miss. Les has always found a way to avoid the executioner's axe when his seat was supposedly hot. Plus Ole Miss is terrible against the run and they are a lot smaller than Ark and Bama.
Winning the next 2 games is key to helping LSU (recruiting and national ranking) going forward regardless of liking the coaching staff or not and all true TIGERS should be behind the team and coaches to win out. These young men have worked their tails off all year to compete for a playoff spot which now seems out of reach but I promise you they all want to win the last 2 to make it to a high ranking bowl. Tiger fans need to pull their panties out of their crack, let the cards fall where they may with coaching changes/decisions and support this team. We are LSU and I am damn proud to be a TIGER and will be in Oxford hoping to watching our TIGERS beat the hell out of Ole Piss.
I generally believe that Les"s seat is not as warm as many think. I also believe he is safe regardless of season outcome. I just think Alleva et.al are all in with Les and will believe he will right the ship. I recently told s friend of mine I think there is literally NO chance that Les is outta here. I don't think Les can fix it. That said, it's going to have to get EVEN worse before the trigger is pulled. I also think LSU takes care of Ole Miss. Les will make much closer than it should be though.
