I think most are looking to the bigger games like Texas A&M or Bama. Not many are expecting Ole Miss to give us much trouble. Personally I just want to see the D show up again. The Florida game was great!
I sure hate they got some key players banged up. I wanted to spank that a$$ with all starters in place so there would be no excuses. That being said I believe they will still be tuff for 2.5 qtrs. but in the end TIGERS lay it to them 42-20
That sound about right to me too. I still think they'll be jacked up the first half and I wouldn't be surprised if we only lead by 3 or 7 by the half. But then - just like Mississippi St - we will open up the can and blow them out big time. Hey wasn't it there 2 years ago when we were skull-dragging them at home by like 50? Then Les puts Mett in (Mr. 3rd Stringer - what a joke!) and basically tells Mett to run out the clock. But then Mett sees a huge opening and breaks off a HUGE run inside the 5 yd line! That was so funny and I bet Les was so pissed at him. Anyone got a video of that? It's so funny to think about Mett making a run like that these days...
And right after that run Les starts kneeling the ball with 5 minutes left. Honestly I don't know which is more insulting, running up the score or a mercy kneel with 5 minutes left.
It was much debated, if I recall correctly. Honestly? I thought it was a bigger punch in the gut than scoring on them. But it was Ole Miss and Houston Nutt, so who was going to feel sorry for them?
The line has moved from LSU -7.5 to LSU -8 With all of the injuries on Ole Miss, I'd like to think that we can open this one up. Which type of game will be called.....the vanilla smash-mouth game like LSU played against UF or "The Greatest Show on Turf" run and gun play calling that we've seen the rest of the year? I know Hugh Freeze is going to come with some heat (to avoid the heat that he is sure to catch if he drops 2 in a row in Oxford and for dropping 4 SEC games in a row). Look for lots of trickery from Ole Miss. They are the epitome of "nothing to lose".
