For some reason, the media (espn mostly) thinks saban is the best of all time and never loses. ahem, ULM at home, UAB at home.
THE SEC is underdog in all The SEC is underdogs in all the bowl games . It will take more than 3 TD's for LSU to win this game . They are saying over (41) So we should see and offensive game this time , College Football Odds | NCAA Football Lines & Point Spreads
Very confusing... Technically (including A&M and Mizzou) the SEC is favored in every bowl game except the one where we are playing each other and that one was a pickem until recently.
This is the betting line is it not? The betting line has everything to do with how people are betting and not necessarily who they think will win. The goal is to put out a number that will get bets on it.
It means the gambling public is pretty convinced Bama will win. It opened at LSU -1 now it is LSU +1 meaning a big chunk of early money is on Bama hence they are trying to get bets on the other side. I suspect it will close at LSU +2 or 2.5
Yeah, and in the end I don't much think it matters. The experts aren't saying the Tigers are going to lose is my point -- the betting controls what the point spread and "favorite" will be. I thought we'd lose in Tuscaloosa just because of homefield. I think LSU has the ability to blow Alabama out or win a close one in the dome. I don't think LSU can be blown out by 'Bama though. If it is a loss it'd be an ultra close one. Miles has shown he can outcoach Saban and you saw Saban reaching for anything last meeting -- I don't see how playing on the road in the dome will help Bama any.
