Of the 10 billion things wrong with college football, why do they have to put so much effort on these damn "combat unis." It is a joke, and insulting to those that have seen real combat. Come to think of it, if we dress our troops in that Maryland shiat, the Taliban just might say enuf is enuf and give up for good, anything to get that crap back on our side of the pond. I hate messin with our unis.
Seems to me like LSU is just the latest in a long line of football teams to have their uniforms totally fuct up by some ****forbrains doucher with a computer in front of him and a company behind him. Did I mention these things are ugly? I guess I'm just glad to not see the purple helmet with the gray facemask again.
Agreed. I've never understood the purpose of these things, nor have I found any of them to be appealing. Oregon's weren't bad, but only because they looked better than those clown suits they usually wear.
It's a marketing tool. Nike hopes to sell more jerseys and LSU coaches hope to stay fresh and relevant in the eyes of kids who make uniforms a part of their decision-making process to choose LSU. It's not a big friggin' deal.
Lord help us. Makes me fear for the decision making skills of these kids.... how can a coach expect them to make the right decisions (party or practice/classes or sleep/pass or run/tackle or not/etc) if what their uniform looks like is more important than choosing the team and school that best meets their academic and athletic needs..... The traditional 'whites' make a statement and make LSU easily recognizable... especially in sports reels
Aside from them trying to turn the Mardi Gras gold into old gold, just like last time, those are pretty sweet. Replace the old gold with the regular yellow/gold and those are a winner.
