well since big 10 teams don't really seem to want to play our conference except for vandy (mich), and IU vs UK, i doubt we'd turn to them. i'm sure one of the two games will end up being a north texas or UAB. but i would hope a decent team from big XII, ACC, or big east would give us a shot. teams like west virginia and louisville are gonna need victories over teams like us to play for a NC. also i wouldn't mind taking on a mid range squad who cracks the top 25 ie: Ga tech, texas tech, etc. also would okie st be interested in playing their former coach??? personally, i would love a chance to repay the mid-late 80's arse kickings by miami, fla st., or nebraska. but that's just me.
Are we that good that no other teams want to play us????? :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
LSU backed out of the last 2 games of the series ('96 and '97) b/c the SEC expanded to 12 teams and 8 conference games in the early 90s. LSU's scheduling philosophy changed to include more cupcakes. A&M claims, or did claim, that we didn't pay the full amount of the buyout. Can't remember if they resolved that issue. They are still mad at us. Of course not. Plenty of great OOC matchups across the country. There is no excuse for LSU not to schedule great home/away series when ND, USC, Texas, OSU, etc. are doing it.
Teams dont schedule with us cause they know they'll be 0-1 before the season even starts... RIP Marquise..
Man i would love to see us schedule a series with Texas. Screw A & M . That would be a great home and home series and would be a reason to add on to LSU stadium again cause talk about seeing a big crowd. Seems like a natural rivalry game. And i almost wonder if LSU moving to the big 12 south wouldnt be a good consideration?
I would love to see us get with ND for a home and home. It would be great to go and play in the 2nd best stadium in the world. And see what Mr. CW's recriuts can do. Like that punk Dayne Crist and Clausen. Would love to bust there ass, one for standing us up and the other just because he is a Clausen.
