https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/l...offensive-assistant-passing-game-coordinator/ Interesting. I don't know anything about this guy other than what it says in the article. Hope he is the right guy.
I hope so too, he sounded like a pretty likeable dude in the presser. Hope that translates to a trip to Atlanta. Don’t see it though.
He coached Wendell Davis & Tony Moss here in the 80's as a WR coach. Then he ran outta dat majik, at least at LSU. Bounced around the NFL for years. I think Wendell's last game here was the Gator Bowl in 1987..he's 52 years old. Maybe having the AARP Offensive coaching staff Rosy assembled is the way to go? Walk like a Dinosaur? Good thing Miles hired Aranda..
Who's in charge here? Ensminger? Are we returning to the Meercat days because too many coordinators and head coaches approving the plays? Delay of games? (Red flags being hoisted)
Didn't Bama do this with Kiffen the year before he took over as OC? At least before their bowl game from what I remember. Hopefully between this and the fact that E was the TE coach, we might actually start throwing the ball to the TE. I remember the first game after he took over as interim OC the year before and we completed a pass to the TE and I about fell over in shock. We suck at working the middle of the field and only throw to the flat or bombs to the outside (at least most of the time). If we can start working the TE over the middle, it has the potential to really open things up for us.
Wait - I thought throwing to the TE was one of the complaints this year - that that was all we did and didn't use the receivers.
